骨架材料是按钢丝绳芯输送带的强度规格而选用不同直径、不同结构的钢丝绳。目前，钢丝绳芯输送带的钢丝绳有镀铜、镀锌两种，由于镀铜钢丝绳容易锈蚀，使钢丝绳芯输送带的使用寿命缩短。因此，选用镀锌钢丝绳作骨架材料。输送带用钢丝绳的结构按标准有6×7+IWS、6×19+ IWS、6×19W+IWS3种。
The skeleton material is the steel wire rope with different diameters and structures according to the strength specifications of the steel wire core conveyor belt. Because copper-plated steel rope is easy to rust, the service life of steel cord conveyor belt is shortened. Therefore, galvanized steel wire rope is selected as skeleton material.
